Privacy policy
In short: EDITFLOW works on your computer. Your videos, links and projects stay there — we never receive them. There's no account, no tracking and no analytics, in the app or on this website. When you buy Pro, the payment company Lemon Squeezy handles your payment details.
Who we are
EDITFLOW is made and run by the EDITFLOW team ("we"). For anything about your data, write to us, or reply to your purchase receipt.
The app, on your computer
Everything EDITFLOW makes — the videos you load, the clips it finds, your timeline, topics, library and finished edits — is stored in the EDITFLOW folder on your computer. We don't receive any of it. The app has no telemetry: it doesn't report what you do.
It keeps, on your computer only: your settings; your optional Gemini key (encrypted with Windows so only your user account can read it); your Pro license key (encrypted the same way); and a signed count of the free video made today.
When the app connects to the internet
- The links you give it — TikTok and YouTube, to download the videos you asked for. Those sites see a normal download from your internet address.
- First start — it downloads free tools from their makers: FFmpeg (gyan.dev), Deno (github.com), Chromium (Microsoft's Playwright servers), and face and text-detection models (github.com). Those servers see a normal download.
- Pro license checks — when you activate a key, and about once a day after that, the app sends the key and an anonymous ID for your computer (a random-looking code — not your name, username or computer name) to Lemon Squeezy's license service, which answers whether the key is active.
- Google Gemini — only if you turn it on. It's off by default. If you add your own Gemini API key in Settings and switch it on, some frames of the TikTok you load are sent to Google to describe effects, under Google's terms.
Buying Pro
Our online store is run by Lemon Squeezy, the Merchant of Record: it processes your payment, charges taxes, sends receipts and your license key, and runs the page where you manage the subscription. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing country/address and payment details under its privacy policy; we never see your card. We receive the order details we need to support you and your license: your name, email, country, what you bought, and the key's status.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, ads, trackers, external fonts or third-party scripts. Like every website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data (such as your internet address and browser type) in short-lived server logs to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- To provide Pro and support you — performing our contract with you.
- To keep the service and license system secure and prevent abuse — our legitimate interests.
- To keep purchase records for tax and accounting — a legal obligation (handled mainly by Lemon Squeezy).
How long
Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you, then deleted. What's on your computer stays until you delete it (delete the EDITFLOW folder, and the folder %APPDATA%\EDITFLOW for the plan files).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or object to how it's used: write to us or reply to your receipt. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
EDITFLOW isn't meant for children under 13. Buying Pro requires being an adult where you live (or a parent's permission).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Important changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
